Ashley began her ballet training at the age of 6 in Escondido, California. By the age of 12 she was training at Valley Center and San Marcos, California. Though ballet quickly became her passion, she has also trained in Tap, Irish, Lyrical, Jazz, Ballroom, and Contemporary. In 2002 Ashley began teaching ballet and tap classes, and discovered her love for teaching the art. In 2004 she moved to northern California to continue her training at Redding Ballet Academie and soon after was invited to join Redding City Ballet. Ashley has taken master classes at the San Diego Ballet Company, in Australia and Maria Skoruk of the Moscow Ballet Company. In 2017 she was appointed the ballet mistress of Redding City Ballet. She continues to teach and choreograph for The Redding Arts Project, Redding City Ballet. Some of her performance credits for The Redding Arts Project include The Nutcracker as Clara, Sugar Plum Fairy, Spanish, Marzipan, and Snow Queen, Cinderella as the Fairy Godmother, Sleeping Beauty as the Queen, for the Redding Musical Company in Peter Pan as the Ostrich and Indian. Her choreography credits for The Redding Arts Project include The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, Circus Circus and Seasons, for California Dance Company, Winter Showcase, and Family Game Night.
