SUMMER THEATRE ACADEMY
Only $475 for a six- week experience!!
Step into the spotlight at our Summer Theatre Academy, where young performers ages 10–19 unlock their potential in a vibrant and creative environment. Over six exciting weeks, campers dive into intensive training in voice, acting, and dance—building skills, confidence, and lifelong friendships.
Guided by our experienced team of theatre professionals, students will work together to stage a spectacular full-scale production of High School Musical, June 9–July 18, Monday through Thursday, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
The enrollment fee is just $150, with the remaining balance of $300 ($250 for returning campers), plus a $40 costume fee, due by June 1. Families enrolling multiple children will also receive $50 off for each additional child.
First-Rate Studio and Classes
We embrace a learning environment that will prepare you for the path ahead. Our classes incorporate traditional learning styles as well as hands-on experiences and our class sizes are small to ensure that each student gets the attention they need. We have state-of-the-art raised floors with a professional Marley surface to protect our dancers from injury. We are conveniently located in charming downtown Redding in the Cultural Arts District surrounded by local restaurants and coffee shops and directly across the street from the historic Cascade Theatre.
Dedicated Educators
Our classes are taught by knowledgable teachers who love what they do. Using proven teaching strategies, they make sure that every student finds a path to success.
Our Mission
The RAP school of theatre and dance is dedicated to building community through the performing arts and providing a home for artists in the Northstate. The RAP offers instruction in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Theatre Arts, and Folk Dancing. Since 1997, The Redding Arts Project has been committed to growing dancers to their fullest potential. Owner Diana Christensen says their curriculum “focuses on the whole dancer with an anatomy-based curriculum to ensure correct technique and the safety of growing bodies.”
